Meet Dan

Today we want you to meet Dan, Naia's CTO and Co-founder.

His early passion for entrepreneurship, UX/UI design and deep curiosity to make his designs come to live sent him on a path to work with interactive UX/UI design as a software engineer. In 2016, he started Knöw, a digital product development studio doing work for startups and larger companies such as Kamstrup Grundfos or LEGO, eventually moving into advisory CTO consulting.

“I've always tried to get myself involved in projects where the product would enhance us to do things smarter, more sustainable and, in general, enrich our lives. That is really important, but it's just as important that I'm part of the right team. When I got to see who was on the team and what had already been built before me coming in, I was really impressed. The seniority of the team is just really incredible and the chemistry was there from the very beginning. There is no product if we don’t have a great team."

From his time as CTO at Shouter, he brings great expertise in going from idea to scaling, matching business strategy with tech strategy and building the digital product. As companies are increasingly demanded to provide transparency on their environmental and social impact, Dan sees a great opportunity space to add new smart products, like Naia, to help in this transition. At the moment, he is most excited to make a difference by joining great UX and UI with great front-end implementation.

"Having those disciplines together in a startup as early as possible, we'll build something that realistically works and looks as good as possible. If we build Naia in this simple, great-looking way that just works, and get it implemented into these processes with a lot of legacy, then we're on a good path.”
